Hi had a Yellow Pinto! I loved that car, thought it was the cutest thing. I'm sure glad no one smashed into me!!!
Loved Boz Skaggs, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Donna Summer, James Taylor
Loved Rags to Britches...Simpson's jeans were the best. You could get them in all colors. Remember Lerners that was on the corner and Coldirons??
I think gasoline was about .22 a gallon!!!

8 Track? I had Cassettes... and a Pioneer SuperTuner that would pull in KATT like KOFM. Got me kicked out of Sonic once for blasting REO on a Friday night. Probably the start of my hearing loss. Funny thing is I now tell my kids to turn their music down and they look at me like I'm an old poop.
The Tunes? Santana, Doobies, Nugent, Parsons, Floyd, Earth Wind & Fire, Parliament, Kansas, Journey, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Little Feat, Loggins & Messina, Mangione, Supertramp, Steely Dan, Who, Yes ... And a few others I don't mention in polite company. Then some sleaze boosted my tape cases from my car and I had to start over. Some of these items made it forward several decades into my iTunes collection so they had staying power (Nugent... not so much).
As for the car, can't say I did right by that blue Chevy family sedan. When I got it it was in decent shape. Within a short period all sides were dinged, scraped, dented, or in some other way indicative of a kid driving it. Glad I didn't start in something nicer. I finally killed it during my "I can fix anything" phase.
For most of that school
For most of that school year, I drove my Dad's Jeep Wagoneer, which we got stuck a few times. Unfortunately, Dad wouldn't allow me to put in anything but the stock A.M radio that came on it, but listened to Foreigner, Boston, and the Doobie Brothers. My clothes were always blue jeans with a really
W I D E leather belt and tacky colored shirts that were too tight.

A light metalic green with white top 1969 mustang with a 302 engine. No Air conditioner, No power steering, No power brakes. Black vinyl seats to peel your legs from in the summer. Eight track stereo which quite possibly explains hearing loss. In Oklahoma you had to get a yearly inspection on your automobiles and I remember lookin at the first two years inspection slips, I had driven 33,000 miles the first year of going mobile; mostly in town. I loved that car!!!

I had a red VW bug with a stick shift. I always loved Ceily's jeep! I remember her dad taking us to Tracey Justice's house in the snow one winter in the jeep. It didn't get very warm, but it could handle the snow great.
I'm still driving a VW, but not the red bug as the engine caught on fire in the early 80's.
