Sorry, But every time I got

Sorry, But every time I got behind the wheel of the drivers ed car I was so scared that I got sick after that class but did come away with good driving skills

I was out in a car in

I was out in a car in driver's ed one day (as a passenger) and we were involved in an accident. Funny thing was, it was the other driver's fault. I'll bet it was embarrassing for that person to know they were at fault for hitting a car being driven by a person who didn't know what they were doing yet.

I remember being scared of

I remember being scared of Mr. McCollum, he seemed so stern. Was he really or was it my teenage imagination?

I always loved Tilly Smith

I always loved Tilly Smith history teacher. Boy did she make you learn in her class. I never had a worst teacher they all passed me! lol

My best and favorite

My best and favorite teachers were Ms. Adams (math), Mrs. Stewart (Spanish), and Mrs. Blenderman (English). My mom had Ms. Adams as a math teacher in the mid-50's. When I was in Enid last summer, my mom said that she had seen her out and about. I also had Mr. Winfield for Driver's Ed. I really liked him. Most of the drive time I had with him was solo, being at the end of the alphabet, with a partner that did not show up much. The best part was driving that big Buick with a 455 under the hood. Imagine the cost to keep gas in that thing today.

I also had Mr. Winfield, do

I also had Mr. Winfield, do you remember him making you stop so he could spit out the door? I shoulda quit math the year before I had Ms. Adams. Loved Mrs. Nivens. Mr. McCollum was big and scary, but we disected those grasshoppers. Didn't like history, but loved Mr. Milacek's government class.

Ooooo..this is such a good

Ooooo..this is such a good topic!! In general, I think I had some pretty nice teachers. My favorites were Mrs. Walker in creative writing..she told me I had talent ... Mrs. Donahue in english literature was pretty cool .. I loved our counselor Bette Haskins..imagine one counselor for 400 to 500 kids..Wow...Mr. King was so handsome, I don't even remember what he taught!!

Miss Nelson taught shorthand and was my nightmare in real life. I had shorthand 4th hour in our JR year and while not everyone knew I had a colostomy in High School but ALL the teachers knew and she gave me a very difficult time over it...

I had Mr. Meyer for Drivers Ed.. You know the one that fell asleep all the time.. he only fell asleep once on my day to drive..I thought it my my duty to "talk" to him the entire time while we were in the car..Imagine me..talking!!! Seems like that was always on my report cards..Polly is not afraid to talk.. and yes, I still do and I have lots of minutes on my cell..

The worst teacher that comes

The worst teacher that comes to mind is Ms. Coburn, personal typing teacher. I made a big mistake when I switched from what I think was Business Typing to Personal Typing. When I switched, I was already two days behind. She has was all over my case for half a semester, always telling me I was going to flunk her class.

I would have to say my favorite teacher was Mr. Harsh for Physics. I always liked it when he said "Cease and desist" when the class got a little loud. Mr. Sharp was also pretty cool.

Wow, I forgot about Bette

Wow, I forgot about Bette Haskins. She was the one who encouraged me to go to MIT. She left EHS shortly after we did, and she got a PhD in Education somewhere in the upper Midwest. I caught up with her in Boston in the late '80's. She was Director of the Native American Program at the Harvard School of Education. If I remember, she died about 10-15 years ago.

Did Ms Coburn have a

Did Ms Coburn have a southern accent? and I truly forgot about Betty Haskins she help me through some hard times in my life hate to hear that she has gone on

Bette Haskin had a son

Bette Haskin had a son Kyle??? Am I right or am I dreaming?? There is an attorney here in Tulsa by the name of Kyle Haskins..just wondering if he could be the same person..I knew she had moved to the East coast, but I am sad to hear of her passing..she was such an encouraging person. I was one of the gofer kids in the couselors office my Jr. year and really got to know Mrs. Haskins and Mr. McIllwee...

I never considered I would be able to go to college and they and Dr. Steffin encouraged me to apply and much to my surprise I was accepted at NWOSU / Alva and Phillips. I went to Phillips since I was still under Dr. Steffin' care after the reversal of my colostomy in July 78..

I think the teachers that I

I think the teachers that I loved the most were Mr. Eugene Griffin and Mrs. Donna Henneke. I loved Band and I also think that Mr. Griffin's strictness helped to prepare me for real life. It's not always easy out there and people are not going to make things easy just for you!!! Mrs. Henneke was also very realistic! I always knew where I was with these people and I very much appreciate their honesty! When either of these people preaised you, you knew it was for real!
I did not have any teachers that I disliked. I had teachers whoses teaching styles or personality I had trouble with, but no one that I disliked.
See you all this summer!

What about Mr. Bussell? Any

What about Mr. Bussell? Any of you choir people out there? Our senior year, we gave him a really bad time, and as i recall instigated his demise!

forget Bussell! Remember

forget Bussell! Remember those dresses we had to wear for show choir!?!!

Those lovely ice blue

Those lovely ice blue numbers? I cringe at the thought! They were so flattering! Long live those Singers of '78!

I was in the regular chorus

I was in the regular chorus and was really glad I did not have to wear the non-flattering blue dress..

I have a picture in my memory book of the entire chorus singing at the Hendrie House..we were standing like little toy soldiers with our hands clasped together in front of us..The photographer took the shot when when we had a "Oh" moment .. it is kinda funny!!
